Major Airlines announce WiFi plans

United Airlines which is continuing the merging process with Continental Airlines announce that it will be installing Wi-Fi on more than 300 of its planes by mid-2012. Air China has announced that it has initiated testing wireless in-flight entertainment equipment on its aircraft provided by Gogo. Very few airlines do not have yet plans for the introduction of on board WiFi. Whether connected to the ground or not an onboard WiFi network together with onboard portals and passenger apps are believed to revolutionaze the way passengers will spend their flight time
