Telenor and ARINC add Altobridge Technology to their in-flight GSM mobile cell phone solution

ARINC Incorporated and Telenor today finalized a major element of their GSM Mobile Connectivity solution for the use of cell phones on commercial airlines. The companies announced a technology contract with Altobridge Ltd. of Kerry Technology Park, Ireland, a leading developer of advanced mobile systems for the aviation industry.
“The proven Altobridge platform will be the link between our Inmarsat satellite access and onboard GSM mobile users,” stated Berit Svendsen, Telenor Chief Technical Officer.
“As a recognized market leader, Altobridge’s commitment not only brings proven technology to the ARINC/Telenor mobile solution, but enhances its market appeal.”
